I was fortunate to receive an updated set of the STSM. I installed them on my daily driver and once I got it connected via Blue Tooth, the sensors picked up right away. They were within 1-2 psi of the on-board monitoring system. Never had a dropped sensor, so definitely an improvement. The temperature readings were accurate in the morning before driving.
I then finally got a chance over the holiday to install the new version on my RV which does not have an on-board system. It also has 6 tires so I installed the fronts and the outer rears.
I had difficulty getting it to connect but after two or three tries, it did finally connect. Could have been user error! Unfortunately, the sensors only read 47psi. I had 95 psi in the rear and 100 in the front. They brought up errors because the minimum was set at 80 psi. ( Not sure why the minimum is limited to 80 (and if the minimum is 80, shouldn't the sensors be able to read 80?))
So, works really well on everyday drivers, needs some calibration improvement if it is to be used on vehicles with higher pressure requirements.
